After yesterday’s 12-miler, it was so nice to spend the rest of the weekend relaxing. It was even more of a treat to do so out of NYC!
Lauren and I drove up to her mom’s house in Westchester for the night, where we drank homemade hot cider, played with puppies and ate delicious homemade meals.
As usual, the events are best summed up in photos…

I was thrilled to wake up today to see that NYC was going to hit 50 degrees! Of course the first thing I did when I got back was suit up and hit the river path for a 3-mile run. It felt amazing to take it easy, flush my legs out after yesterday and enjoy the sunshine.
I ran in shorts! The East River Promenade was filled with happy people and their dogs.

SOMETHING I WANT TO KNOW: Now that Ali On The Run has been up and running for a while, I’d like to know what you want more of. Usually I document my day and every now in then I’ll try to inject some little pearl of wisdom (such as insight on infrequent hair washing and even more infrequent jeans washing). Let me know what you want to read about and I’ll gladly oblige!

AWWW!!! You got the cutest photos of Ocee and Finn! Love them.
It looks so gorgeous in the city! I need to come run in NYC. I am dying for a run in the sun in shorts! Glad you had a chance to relax this weekend.
Great weekend! Glad you had relaxing fun and got to enjoy a run on what I heard was a gorgeous day (I’m still sick). I tried on the Long & Lean jeans by the way and totally see why you love them, so comfortable! Sadly, the Gap does not make it for the size of ladies like myself.
I really enjoy blogs that talk about daily life and whatever that entails. I really enjoy your blog just the way it is.
Its nice to get the runs (especially the long ones) behind us, and be able to relax and enjoy the weekend… Thats why I dread doing them on Sundays… Cute dog !
Cheers
Oh my goodness I want to steal those dogs. They look so cuddly!! As far as the blog goes, I always like when people just incorporate lots of their life and personality into their posts- and from what I’ve read you always do!
was the picture of the wine the “before” you guys showed up? I want to see the “after” picture!!
Har har har, Ryan. We didn’t go through that much wine. Mostly because I was adding whiskey to my cider. Classy, I know. Also, love the new nickname!
