Happy Friday, friends!
There’s a lot to accomplish today, so I’m going to make this quick.
First, as you all know by now, today is my screen test at Jack Rabbit Sports! Thanks to everyone who weighed in on “The Great Outfit Debate.” Here’s the winning look (sans headband, because it gives me a headache — it’ll go on later):

I’m headed down to the store at 2 pm and I’m not really sure what to expect. I assume they’re going to put me in front of the camera and ask some questions about why I want to be part of the “Run For The Rabbit” program. Guess we’ll find out!
Last night I crashed hard. I wasn’t even awake when ABS got home, and I don’t remember him coming to bed. I think my body needed the sleep!
I stayed in bed until 6 this morning then suited up for a relaxing 3-mile run. I kept an easy pace because my back is super-sore after last night’s yoga class.
In case you’re not sick of “Ali’s Morning Sunrise” photos yet, here are a few more. The view this morning was spectacular.

Come on: How stunning is that last photo? I’m a lucky girl to live right near the water where the sun comes up.
Today will be another busy one at the office, then after work I need to run some errands for a certain birthday boy.
Next Wednesday is ABS’s actual birthday, but the festivities are kicking off this weekend. Tomorrow we’re going bowling and drinking with a big group of people. Three of his friends all share a birth-week, so needless to say this event is always, well…boozy.
Off to munch on some of this…

…and kick this day into gear.
A RANDOM THING I WANT TO KNOW: What’s your favorite mid-morning snack? I always have a small breakfast — a granola bar — then eat a ton of trail mix when I get into the office about two hours later.
Have a great day!

Love that outfit! You look great:)
I tend to have larger breakfasts, and then an apple about 3 hours later.
I know it’s already happened, but I hope the screen test was awesome! I can’t wait to hear more!
Can’t wait to hear about Jack Rabbit!
Hi! I came across your blog and LOVE it! I also submitted an application to Jack Rabbit but didn’t get a call back =( Congratulations to you though! I hope your screen test went well! My favorite mid-morning snack is usually non-fat vanilla yogurt with honey, oats and fresh raspberries or blueberries! On days that I run and need a little more protein, I go for a Luna Protein bar…those things are so tasty!!!
I’ve started having hot chocolate (with milk) as my mid-morning snack. It feels like a treat, but it has calcium and protein 🙂
Almonds! I eat a Luna Bar for breakfast and then nibble on almonds all morning until lunch. I am pretty much always hungry.
I’m not a runner OR a morning person, but seeing those pictures might be enough to convince me to get up early! I hope the screen test went well! I don’t usually eat anything in the mornings. I always have coffee or tea in the morning, and sometimes a glass of orange or grapefruit juice. On occasion I’ll have a larabar.
I usually eat a granola bar, apple, or sometimes a small bag of pretzels as my mid morning snack.
I love the sunrise pictures!
My mid-morning snacks are different every day. I have a mini-fridge so I can keep various things in there. ( I don’t share so I don’t have to worry about anyone else). I eat greek yogurt, carrots, string cheese..or whatever else I bring.
Gorgeous sunrise! I usually bring my breakfast to work so I eat it around 9;30…keeps me full until lunch at around 12:30! I like to alternate cooked oatmeal mixed with almond milk & fruit, greek yogurt with berries and oats, or kashi go lean cereal with almond milk.
Oatmeal and coffee right when I get to work, then mid morning I have a little organic vanilla yogurt with either blueberries, stawberries or rasberries. The best! If I work out before work, I eat a really small bowl of cheerios before heading to the gym 🙂
Love that last sunrise photo. Good luck at the screen test! They will love you, for sure. Lately I’ve been snacking on avocado with some salt on a rice cake. SO GOOD.
Good luck today!
I’m not big on breakfast either (pre-run is just coffee and post-run is chocolate milk) and always have a small one once I’ve settled in at the office. My go-to is nonfat Greek yogurt with defrosted frozen berries mixed in. And sometimes a small side of chocolate if my snack drawer has been re-stocked. 🙂
Most mornings I take non-fat yogurt add muesli about a teaspoon of honey (depends how much yogurt I make) throw in some berries or other fresh fruits. Put it into a small container and voila perfect midmorning snack (although I eat it around lunch and have lunch around 230). It holds all day unrefrigerated, but I like it cold so I have this cute little cooler I keep my lunch in. Yes I’m a dork, but you knew that!
I usually have greek yogurt/flax seed/honey & some sort of fruit topping around 10:30- delicious!
The colors in the last sunrise photo are mesmerizing!
Gorgeous photos!!! I miss running. My mid-morning snack is usually nuts or a bar of some sort. Good luck today!!!
