I am so tired of talking about the weather. People, it’s New York City! Why are you so shocked that there’s snow in the dead of winter?!
That being said, I’m not tired of taking pictures of the weather. The snow that came down over night left a beautiful pillow of whiteness across the city. Sure it stopped the buses from running and my feet were soaked by the time I got to my office this morning, but that’s OK with me.
In honor of Thankful Things Thursday, my grand plan was to share all the pretty photos I took during my commute this morning. I’m thankful I live in a place where we get to enjoy four unique seasons.
But now, my computer is having a case of the spazzes (I made that up, but it seems accurate to me). So those photos will have to wait.
You know what else I’m thankful for though? I’m thankful I get to work in a place where jeans and sweaters are totally appropriate attire.

I’m also thankful that I have tomorrow off from work because I’m going skiing and sledding in Vermont with my college pals.
I’m thankful to have found some great new friends in NYC, including Ashley, who has become an awesome workout buddy and motivator for me.
I’m thankful for Burt’s Bees lip balm, which soothes my lips and tastes pepperminty.
I’m thankful that today is pay day. (I’m not thankful that it’s also the end of the month, which means the rent is due.)
I’m thankful for the chocolate macaroons from Whole Foods. I’ll be eating two this afternoon.

I’m thankful for you, faithful Ali On The Run readers! Your comments lately have been both hilarious and insightful, and I love you all for sharing your thoughts with me.
YOU KNOW THE DRILL: Tell me what you’re thankful for today!

I am thankful I work for a company that allows me to work from home on days like today! Being at home in sweats is just how I enjoy spending snow days, even if it means being attached to my laptop and blackberry!
I love your attitude! I keep hearing from my friends and family in NJ/NYC how miserable the weather is and I know I would not be able to handle it as well as you. And I want one of those macaroons.
I’m thankful it’s Friday eve 🙂
Hey Ali! I love your attitude. I’m with you on the snow – I really like it. I think it’s fantastic, seasonally appropriate and pretty. I’m also traveling to Vermont for the weekend. I’m going to Mount Snow and I’m really psyched. I’ll be snow-shoeing and skiing. I hurt my back during a spin class at soul-cycle 10 days ago and have been taking it easy for the past week and a half. I am so excited st the prospect of some activity this weekend! I haven’t been doing Refine at all and I miss it so much. However, I think I’m going to take Brynn’s 6:30am class tomorrow. I’m definitely thankful for my health today as my back feels great. And I’ve been meaning to tell you – I joined Pure Yoga for three days and then cancelled my membership! I loved the place, got trigger happy and subsequently realized the logistics of commuting to the city almost daily just for work-outs (not actual work) is just too much for me. Have a great weekend!
I think we may be the only people not saddened by the snow here! haha! I just don’t get why people are so angry, if I truly hate the snow in the winter I’d think about moving to CA. I mean that’s the smart thing to do right? Welps, I’m grateful that most of the path to the subways were clear this morning and I only had to climb over 2 3ft mountains, and I’m also grateful for snow boots!! lol. Maybe those people who hate the snow don’t own snow boots? Just saying.
oh and yay you found a fellow NYC blogger! I’m gonna go check out Ashley’s blog now, I haven’t met any NYC bloggers yet so I have fun reading (and truly understanding) your blog and what ya talk about 🙂
I’m thankful that I live in Florida and I do not have to deal with snow, ever.

I’m thankful that my Husband is so supportive of my running!
I’m thankful for my family!! 🙂 They are the best!
I envy your still tolerant attitude with the snow. I tried for a while, I really did. But I’ve just about had enough of it now. I’m ready for the snow to end and spring to start sneaking in. I do NOT want to be doing a 20 mile run on the treadmill in a few weeks. 🙂
